Sketch Saturday Week #218 - July 29, 2012

Today, I enjoyed participating in the Sketch Saturday Week #218 challenge.  This sketch was cute and  perfect especially for my vision of a Thank you card.  I loved using the black, purple and green combo.  I colored the images with Stampin Up' markers and used the huffing technique to stamp the image.  It is such a cheery card.

Together in the Dog House - July 28, 2012

If you get stuck out in the doghouse, make it a great place to be with your best buddy.  This image by Mo's Digital Pencil called Buds girl, is just so adorable. This sketch is awesome, I love the roll backed paper look in the corner.  The sketch is by The Sweet Stop SSS169 .   I am also entering this card in the Mo's Challenge #145 and hoping to be picked as a guest designer.

I paper pierced her dress and little bottoms.  The remainder of the image is colored with copic markers.  To add a little furry look to her best buddy, I used a little flocking powder which gives it a bit of a shadow.

True Friend - July 27, 2012

To end the week, this is just a simple card that expresses a lot of meaning.  It is really hard in life to find a true friend.  So when you find a true friend, you need to let them know.  This card sketch comes from Frosted Designs #23.  It is their last card sketch which is really sad!  However, they have new things on the way, so I am excited to check that out!

Birthday Card - July 24, 2012

Today, I was able to create a birthday card for a little boy who will be turning 5 this year.  I am thankful for the challenge by  Sweet Stop SSS168 to have fun with numbers while using their magnificent sketch.  I was able to incorporate numbers two ways for this card.  The stamp set is called Life is Tweet from Close to My Heart.

Mojo Monday 251 - July 23, 2012

This weekend, I went home to see my family and my friend, Stephanie.  Stephanie and I went out shopping at the scrapbook store and Michaels.  We found in the dollar bins at Michaels the paper and the embellishment on this card.  I just loved the look of the paper.  It is fun and creative!  Plus I was able to make a card to give my hubby, because I love him so much!    The layout challenge I participated in this week from Mojo Monday 251.

Blog Candy - July 22 - August 4, 2012

Did you hear the sweet whisper of blog candy that might be coming your way?  The aroma makes me want to jump out of my crafting seat and do a little dance!!!  I am super excited to celebrate four years of having a blog!  It has been amazing that four years has passed me by so quickly.  Crafting has become an important relaxation aspect of my life.  Plus, I am starting to venture out with videos, so that other crafters can find organization tips, fun projects and just basic card making and scrapbooking.  My plans are to continue to make more videos and introduce new projects as well as participate in craft challenges. I am hoping to share all of that with you.

Queen for a Day

This card will be for someone having a very low day.  It is really polka dot card, and the image is not my favorite.  However, I think it will either repel you or make you laugh.  I chose to use this image because I loved the sketch over at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 163, and this is the only image I could find in my stash that would fit the layout..  You must hop over and play along!  I also found scraps of paper to use for this challenge in my stash.  It is fun to go back an revisit some of those papers.  Thanks for stopping by.....keep checking back for my upcoming blog candy!!!!!!!!!

Coffee & Cat Fur - July 18, 2012

I call it the "FUR WAR" whether you own a cat or a dog, you are always fighting the fur by sweeping, vacuuming, swiffering, rolling, you name it, pet owners battle it day and night.  It is worth it though because our  pets bring us so much joy, love and happiness.  I am the proud owner of two cats.
As for coffee, coffee does not compare to my cup of coca-cola in the mornings, actually coke zero.  However, the receipient of this card loves coffee and owns cats.  The sentiment for this card comes from Graphicat Designs.  There are some funny sayings in their shop. The adorable digi image comes from Tiddly Inks, a digi stamp company that I just discovered.  The sketch is by the Sweet Stop SSS167. You should stop over there and play!
