SCS Sketch Challenge 317 - January 26, 2010

Tonight,  I decided to work on the SCS Sketch Challenge 317.  I was excited about breaking out my High Hopes Rubber Stamp "Little Reader" for this challenge.   I received this stamp as a gift for my birthday.  In the drawer of my craft room, I had the cool Basic Gray Bookmarker Clips which I thought added a sweet touch to my creation. Plus, the recipient can remove the bookmark and use it for their enjoyment.   I enjoyed making this card because it was sweet and simple.

Thanks from the Heart - January 17, 2011

The Color Combo Challenge of the week: Cherry Cobbler, Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink. Since I am waiting to order the new SU papers, I had to substitute Cherry Cobbler with a velvet red paper in my stash.  The main image is from Unity Be Owl Mine -another set Stephanie passed along.  The sentiment comes from a SU stamp set - that I honestly do not have the name for.

Mojo Motivator - January 16, 2011

The challenge was the Mojo Motivator.  You had to use one technique within the list, one color combo and one card sketch.  The technique chosen was paper piercing, the color combo (More Mustard, Melon Mambo, Baja Breeze) and the card sketch was SC244.  I used the SU Fine Print stamp set.  I double stamped the umbrella and cut out the More Mustard to accent the umbrella.

Rainy Days - January 14, 2011

We all have those rainy days when our umbrella is frayed, the rain is pouring down, and we feel just a little bit quaky.  An adorable image - that I do not know the name of, enhanced with Copics, SU Markers, SU Chalks and Stickles!

Just another simple card using my favorite stamp collection - My Favorite Things Who's That Girl  "How Sweet It Is"  I also used my SU wheel Chocolate Chips.  A little scene for a girl who loves chocolate!

Mootastic Christmas - January 12, 2011

I am a little late at posting my Christmas Card for 2010.  I used Whipper Snapper Cow Stamp and added some fun flock to him.  I cut out the fireplace and tree with the cricuit.  I enhanced it with some stickles and embossed the background.  I have yet to learn how to make a simple Christmas card.

Time with the Hubby -- January 11, 2011

My husband is just the best!  I made this card for him.  I plan on leaving it on the table before I go to work, to let him know I am thinking about him and that I cannot wait to spend time with him.  I do not know the name of the stamp image - I received it in the mail.  The card also is really simple, but I needed simple card making right now.

You Deserve A Break - January 10, 2011

It is the middle of January and the holiday rush has ended.  It is time to sit back and take a break.  This stamp image is from MFT says just that - relax!  The background is using a Cuttlebug folder and SU "By Design".

Happy Birthday - Janury 9, 2011

I have been absent from making cards for awhile.  I thought I would start off the year making birthday cards.  I pulled out a stamp set that my friend, Stephanie, gave me a long time ago.  It is a Unity Stamp Set called "Hey Chick".  Inside the card it says" shake your tail feathers" and then I stamped "Happy Birthday".  I stamped the image in memento ink, colored it with SU makers, fun flocked the feathers and the bird, and added rhinestones for the bling!
