Happy Halloween

Lately, I have really been into making cards. My latest creation has been my Halloween Card for my family and friends. I can safely post the card since it now has arrived to all the receipints. I decided to break out my Close to My Heart stamp sets for Halloween. I love these stamps because it makes it easy seeing exactly where to stamp.

Supplies:

Close to My Heart Frightenin' Fun
Stampin Up Only Orange Ink and VersaMark Pad
Stampin Up Black Embossing Powder
Stampin Up Black Card Stock; Only Orange Card Stock; Pumpkin Pie Card Stock
Orange Peel Stickles and Eucalyptus Stickles
Happy Halloween Ribbon
Adhesive
Pop Up Dots

First, I stamp the pumpkin on pumpkin pie card stock (I let the image dry over night for best results before embossing). Next, stamp the versamark image of pumpkin face on pumpkin. Emboss pumpkin face and let dry (one hour). Then cover image in orange peel stickles leaving lines of stamping image uncovered to give the pumpkin dimension. Hand draw stock on pumpkins with Eucalyptus stickles. Let dry over night. Cut out each pumpkin and adhere 2 pop up dots on the back of each pumpkin. Cut 4 1/2 x 5 card out of black card stock, cut smaller Only Orange card stock and adhere ribbon to card with adhesive. Attach to the card and attach pumpkins. Use the extra pieces of orange card stock to stamp Happy Halloween inside. Have fun making the cards and enjoying Halloween!

6th Month Anniversary

My boyfriend and I will have dated six months on October 26, 2008. Of course, I had to make a special card for the special occassion. He loves martinis, so I bought him a cocktail shaker to make his favorite drink. I am giving him the cocktail shaker for our anniversary. The card says "You have Shaken me since the first day I met you!"

I made this card with the Bella On the Rocks stamp given to me by a very good friend. I used Stampin Up Gable Green paper to pull out the olive in the martini; Close to My Heart black paper which gives a white edge to the effect; and Papertray ink white paper. I used the huffing technique to stamp the martini glass. I put diamond stickles to make the drink stand out. I used olive stamp color to sponge the edges of the stamped image. Of course, I stamped out the words with a versamark pad so I could emboss them, but decided to stamp the word shaken so it looks like it is moving on the page.

I love you Bryan!

Thank You Gift Card Holder

My boyfriend's boss let us borrow his tiller and aerator to work on the lawn. I decided to get him a gift card in appreciation of using the equipment. I decided to make a thank you card with a gift card holder slip inside.

I created this 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 card by using the following products:

Stamps: Stampin Up Pocket Silhouettes, Vogue Versus
Paper: Stampin Up Not Quite Navy, Garden Green and Summer Sun, White Card Stock
Ink: Stampin Up Not Quite Navy, Garden Green, Summer Sun, Really Rust, Old Olive, and Verse Mark
Embellishment: Thank You Bubble Accent by Jo-Ann Stores
Tools: Adhesive and 1 3/8 round circle punch, heat gun, embossing buddy, black embossing power, sponge

Instructions: Cut Card and layered card stock. Stamp images on white card stock, use the embossing buddy over stamped images, stamp image to emboss, and heat. Then use a sponge and sponge the colors over the stamped images to make the sky and grass). Inside Card: take another layer of card stock (same color as card)and cut half the size of one side of the card about 2 1/4 inches, punch half a circle in card stock, adhere on the sides and bottom leaving the punch section at the top. Stamp and Emboss Thank you on the gift card sleeve. Insert Gift Card and Go!
