Happy Birthday with a Sentiment

The background of this card was made using a stencil and Stampin Up White Craft Ink.  The sentiment came from a Stampin Up Paper Kit Box.  I used foam to pop up the saying and looped some silver cord around randomly for a different look on the card.

Spongy Thanks

I had a great time making this card and using my sponge daubers.  I cut the thanks out with my silhouette cameo and ultimately decorated the card by sponging the colors.   This card is 4.5 x 9.5.

Crappy Day!

God has pressed upon my heart to give some cheer to my dear friends.  I love sending cards of encouragement or sending cards just to be thoughtful!  In this crazy world, we need to be uplifted especially when we run into a horrible day!  I decided to dig through my stash and use an old, but funny image and sentiment for this card!  I love images and sayings that play off of each other!  This image is from Unity Stamp called Crappy Day!   it also allowed me to pull in my heart washi tape to go with the image, and the kraft paper reminds me of the toilet paper roll!

Bright Thinking of You!

Today, I am using one of my favorite stamps just in a different way!  I bought this stamp out of the dollar bin at Michaels, and I seem to come back to it often.  This time, I used my Colorbox Primary Petal to make each flower a different color and to color the stems.  This Colorbox petal is quickly becoming my favorite because I can control the ink and it gives such vibrant colors. My thought for you today is to let someone special in your life know you are thinking about them!  Take a few minutes to send them a nice handwritten note!

Birthday Cakes equal ZERO

I pulled out an old stamp set from My Favorite Things called Who's That Girl Lovin' from the Oven. I decided to paper pierce her dress and apron for fun!  The recipient of this birthday card is always talking about dieting!  So, I thought the saying on this card that Birthday Cake has zero calories, was perfect!   I sure wish they had zero calories!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello! To a Dear Friend

I think my favorite cards to send are the "surprise" cards.  They arrive in the mailbox just to brighten someone's day!  We all need a little encouragement or just a quick hello to let someone know you are thinking of them.  Who will you send a card to today, just to life up their spirits?

Hugs and Kisses

I seem to be churning out cards today.  Over time, I tend to gravitate towards my old stamp set  Stampin Up Alphabet Soup!  This card will be perfect to hide in the perfect spot for my hubby to find one day as a surprise!

Reel Love

Well I thought I had created my hubby's valentine card about a month ago, until I came up with this card today.  I used Glamour Lowercase Alphabet stamp set from CTMH to create the saying.  From my washi tape stock, I grabbed three different tapes to use as banners.  The view reel is from my silhouette machine.  I think he will love it since we love to take pictures and record our lives.

Cat-tastrophy! It's Snow

As the Northeast is getting tons of snow, I created this card for my mother-in-law.  While she is not in the Northeast, she seems to hate snow, and love cats.  When I saw this awesome image from CC Designs, I had to have it to make her a card.  My plan is to send it when the weather is predicted to have snow.

Cattitude!

I have not made a card in ages where I used only the card base and no paper!  When I saw this sketch over at Cas(E) this Sketch, I had to try it.  I pulled out my Inkadinkado Cat stamp set, and started to create!  I embossed the cat and sponged the top and bottom.  Of course, rhinestones had to be added to give a bit of Cattitude!

Worm Hugs and Birthday Fishes!

My father-in-law loves to fish!  My hubby always buys him fishing equipment for Christmas, so I decided since his birthday is coming up this adorable image would make the perfect card!  I have fallen in love with this birdbrain and all of the images of him from The Heart Digital Stamps.

I am starting to make my valentine's cards!  Don't you just love this image from Tiddly Inks?  She is giving you a great big sMOOch!  Be on the lookout, I will be using this image on a few more Valentine's Day cards. I popped out her lips, and used some liquid glass to make them shine!

Christmas Presents Revealed

For Christmas this year, I made my scrapbooking friends and co-workers a Christmas gift themed around "chalkboard Christmas".  The contents inside is Russian Tea.  Many people really enjoyed this gift.  Plus it was fun and simple gift to make!  Perfect for this cold weather we are having lately.

The fabric is cut in 5 x 5 squares and placed on a pint wide mouth jar.
The tag was embossed using embossing power.  The reverse side says how many scoops to put in your hot water.
The chalkboard tags were at Michaels.  I used a Chalkboard Marker to write Russian Tea.
The russian tea was made by me, and placed in each jar.
Simple, fun gifts!

Such Fun - A Birthday

It was really simple making this clean card with the Freshly Made Sketches.  The entire card came together quickly.  I pulled out some project life cards for my background and thought the card with "such fun" on it really went with my theme of a birthday.  The image is from Heidi Grace Designs stamp set which I used for the first time.  I also got out my old stamp set from SU Alphabet Soup which really adds that fun feeling. It reminds me of biking over to a friends house with their birthday presents.

Celebrating Love

I went crazy over the Mojo Monday 379 Sketch using my Unity Stamp called Great Pear.  This sketch and stamp set helped me knock out three cards for this year. The above card is for my in-laws for their anniversary this month.  Inside it says "You two make the perfect pair!  Happy Anniversary!"

The next card is my valentine's day card for my wonderful hubby!  On this card, I actually got to use the sentiment with the stamp set.  The hearts on my card came out of the dollar bin at Michaels, and the hearts were the inspiration for my paper choices.

Last, but not least, is another anniversary card for a couple I know who are extremely special to me, my mom and stepfather.  They will be married 28 years in February!  It is amazing because God allowed me to be with them on their wedding day and celebrate the occasion.
