Happy 25th Anniversary - February 23, 2012
My mother and stepfather will be married 25 years on February 25th. I made this card using The Sweet Stop SSS146 Sketch. I cannot believe 25 years has passed, it really seems like a couple of years ago to me. I hope they get to see many, many more anniversary together. I love them both! They are great parents!

Happy 13th Birthday - February 21, 2012
My nephew will be 13th in April which is unbelievable! I made this card based on Michelle Zindorf's tutorial except I changed it up a bit! She used a brayer to make her card. I completely used a sponge technique. I plan on trying the brayer as soon as I have larger ink pads to try it! I added a saying and of course, the flag. I made sure to put "13" on the flag so he will remember this card celebrates his 13th birthday. He really appreciates the fact I take the time to make my cards and this makes me feel wonderful!

Mix of Challenges - February 20, 2012
Happy Birthday to you! My little niece's birthday is coming up in May. I thought this digital image from Sassy Cheryl's Digis "Sassy Birthday" would be perfect for her card. It also feels fantastic to have her card done ahead of schedule. I love not procrastinating! I popped out her present which makes it look more 3-D, a fun little element to this card which was right in line with the Corrosive Challenge #143 - Another Dimension! Since my card was birthday theme, it also met the challenge of Paper Sundaes #108 - Birthdays challenge which is perfect because it helped give me the boost to get a birthday card done!

Party Kittens - February 16, 2012
Today, I am entering the card sketch challenge by The Sweet Stop SSS145. I made this adorable birthday card using Whipper Snapper Party Kittens image. I think these cats are so sweet! I also tried a new technique with overlapping the ribbon which I saw on Above Rubies Studio. I also decided to stamp Happy Birthday on the ribbon which is a technique that I came up with myself a few years ago. Just adding my own decoration to the ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day - February 14, 2012
First off, I must tell everyone the exciting news......I won my first Challenge ever with Frosted Designs - this link lets you peak at the announcement! When I started looking at the top 3, I got sad and disappointed that my card did not make it, and then I looked down and saw I won!!! I let out a scream that as they say "would curl your hair" for my thank you card.
The great thing about Frosted Designs is they have 3 challenges! So today, I am actually entering an entry into Love is in the Air Blog Hop and Fabulous Friday Challenge which I actually created this weekend! You have to use love within your card, scrapbook page or project. So the blog hop gave me the inspiration to take the plunge and start working on my wedding album again. The wedding album has been so hard to complete for me because it was such a special day! This kiss was really special too..... My husband laid one on and everyone could not believe it! They talked about it at the reception and my husband's brother loves to tease us about kissing like that in church. However, I think God was really happy that we were together and did not mind the kiss. We were both so excited! Maybe I will have the album done before my 3rd Anniversary in August.... Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! Remember the people you love.........

Masculine Birthday Card - February 13, 2012
Today, I made a birthday card for my stepfather. I used copic markers to color the image, and tried to capture the color of his truck on this card. The image is from CTMH courtesy of my friend Kristy. The Sketch is by Carly #49, it is sweet and simple! I am also entering two other challenges with this card. The first challenge is Moving Along with the times Challenge #135 - Cute Critters, and I think this bear is adorable! The second challenge is Sweet 'n Sassy SNSDC40 - Hat's Off to You - where you use an image that includes a hat. Thanks for stopping by, Have a Marvelous Monday!

Mojo Monday #227 - February 12, 2012
A fun birthday card using the Mojo Monday #227 Sketch Challenge. I had so much fun making this card and the sketch reminds me of a pocket card. I actually broke out some old SU supplies to make my creation. The Happy Birthday block comes from SU Alphabet Soup and the saying from the SU Edge Eloquence collection. I also had fun playing with the spellbinder and cuttlebug machine to make the creation. I just seem to be drawn to polka dots, swiss dots, and circles.

Thanks a Latte - February 9, 2012
Today's card is simple and sweet! I made it using the Tuesday Morning Sketch 131 from last week and entering it in the card makin' mamas Challenge #38 - Valentine. I had to make this card using valentine colors and adding the sentiment "thanks a latte" because my husband will spoil me on valentine's day and I will leave him a little thank you/I love you card in his bag to find when he travels for work. The image is courtesy of my good friend Kristy. So everyone, have a cup of coffee and say thank you to the one you love!

Let's Catch Up Soon - February 10, 2012
I can tell I am really longing from the spring by the bright colors I keep choosing for my cards. This card has been entered into the MFT Wednesday Sketch MFTWSC58. I really enjoyed this sketch. My sentiment comes from MFT Stamp Set Who's That Girl Enjoy the Ride. The main image is a Unity Stamp that my friend Carol let me borrow. I colored the stamp with SU markers and then stamped the image. Thanks for stopping by and remember to catch up with a friend that you have not talked to in awhile!

Simple Thank You - February 8, 2012
It is always nice to have a thank you card on hand. I think it is so important to send a hand written note when someone does something extra special for you. Hand written notes are becoming so rare now a days. My card today was made using Frosted Designs Card Sketch #11. You should check this site out especially if you make cards and scrapbook layouts. They have sketches for both!! The image is a tulip stamp my friend Carol let me borrow. I colored the tulip in two tones of pink and two tones of green using my copic markers. Thanks for stopping by!

Clean & Simple - February 7, 2012
I needed to make a cute card for my hubby for Valentine's day. On Valentine's day, I will reveal his present. Just in case he might peek on here, I wanted to make sure he did not see his present. Paper Sundaes Challenge #106 - Clean & Simple was perfect to make him a quick valentine day card with the image by Stamping Bella. I am also entering the Catered Crop Challenge to use a heart within your project!

Love Every Bite - February 6, 2012
Today, I am celebrating the blessing that God has allowed me to live 25 years since losing my spleen. I am very thankful to God for every day! My card sketch today comes from The Sweet Stop SSS144 and the challenge is "Love Bites" from The Corrosive Challenge #142. Most of us just love every bite of our chocolate candy at Valentine's Day whether we receive it from someone or we buy our own. I love this image from MFT Flopsey Chocolate Bunny. I pierced his chair and flocked his fur for this card. Thanks for stopping by!!!
