Birthday Wishes - July 17, 2012

When you are young, you are so excited about receiving a gift.  When you are older, you get more excited (at least I have) at giving gifts to others.  I love spoiling people!   But in all honesty, I LOVE getting presents myself especially surprises!!! Versatile Card - July 16, 2012

An occasion sneaks up on you and surprisingly you have no card for it.  Next is the rushing around to make a card for it. Well today's card is the answer to that problem.  I call it the versatile card.  It can be used for a birthday, thank you, with sympathy, thinking of you or even get well soon.  I can just add the sentiment inside for the occasion and my worries are over.  Today's sketch is Sketches by Carly. The paper comes from My Mind's Eye which I purchased from Two Peas in a Bucket.  My card base is white stock from Papertrey Ink, and the rest of the paper is Stampin Up.  I embossed the corners using my cuttlebug and thought a butterfly brad would be perfect to complete this card.

Hoppy Birthday - July 15, 2012

Mojo Mondays 249 sketch was perfect to create a birthday card. I decided for this card to break out all of the "old" items hanging around in the craft room.  First, I used the Stampin Up set Unfrogettable which has been hiding in my stamp drawer for some time.  It is a set that I cannot seem to part with yet. I used Old Olive and Close to Cocoa stampin up spots (also old) as my ink base.  I colored him using copics.  Then came the Stampin Up designer paper that I found in my scrapbox of pattern papers.  Next a piece of Old Olive paper also hiding away, along with my scallop middle border from a pack of Martha Stewart cards that had to be dazzled with some stickles.  Hopefully, the birthday recipient will have an Unfrogettable Birthday!! You're Purrfect -- July 4, 2012

Well I have not been too purrfect lately, as my crafting blog has been neglected.  I went through a spell where crafting was put on the back burner.  However, The Sweet Stop Sketch SSS165 helped to inspire me to get my mojo back.  I might not be able to post every day, but I can do better!!  My stamp comes from Inkadinkado Cats, it is such a groovy cat!  The paper pack is one of my favorites by Echo Park called Happy Days!  I really like the retro inspiration of the paper, plus the colors and patterns just make you happy!
