SCS Sketch Challenge 317 - January 26, 2010

Tonight,  I decided to work on the SCS Sketch Challenge 317.  I was excited about breaking out my High Hopes Rubber Stamp "Little Reader" for this challenge.   I received this stamp as a gift for my birthday.  In the drawer of my craft room, I had the cool Basic Gray Bookmarker Clips which I thought added a sweet touch to my creation. Plus, the recipient can remove the bookmark and use it for their enjoyment.   I enjoyed making this card because it was sweet and simple.

The Color Combo Challenge of the week: Cherry Cobbler, Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink. Since I am waiting to order the new SU papers, I had to substitute Cherry Cobbler with a velvet red paper in my stash.  The main image is from Unity Be Owl Mine -another set Stephanie passed along.  The sentiment comes from a SU stamp set - that I honestly do not have the name for.

Mojo Motivator - January 16, 2011

The challenge was the Mojo Motivator.  You had to use one technique within the list, one color combo and one card sketch.  The technique chosen was paper piercing, the color combo (More Mustard, Melon Mambo, Baja Breeze) and the card sketch was SC244.  I used the SU Fine Print stamp set.  I double stamped the umbrella and cut out the More Mustard to accent the umbrella.

Rainy Days - January 14, 2011

We all have those rainy days when our umbrella is frayed, the rain is pouring down, and we feel just a little bit quaky.  An adorable image - that I do not know the name of, enhanced with Copics, SU Markers, SU Chalks and Stickles!
