Up, Up and In Love - January 22, 2014

I made my first valentine card of the year.  The sketch is actually from Freshly Made Sketches #119, but I was two days late to play along in their challenge.  However, the sketch was perfect for the heart filled hot air balloon.

Birthday Cheer - January 21, 2014

When I saw the sketch from Sketch Saturday #293,  I knew right away the perfect stamp set to use.  I love this little stamp set from Whipper Snapper Designs.  These cats are so cute and in the mood to celebrate a birthday!  Since I taught last semester, I used up all my birthday cards.  Now it is time to make some new ones, and start getting ahead again.

It's a Good Day - January 20, 2014

Why is it a good day?  Well first, I am able to craft again, so that makes it a good day!  My adjunct position is over!  My project life for 2013 is complete!  So, I can start working on some  great projects for 2014.  Second, I actually have the day off which is wonderful!  It gives me some extra crafting time since the house is in order and the laundry is done!  Third, Mojo Monday #329 sketch was simple and help me get inspired to get my crafting MOJO back! Fourth, I said "Hello" to my silhouette who had been sitting in the corner collecting dust!  She was happy to get back into crafting!  Fifth, it is always a good day with someone you love, taking pictures and making memories.  Sixth, I never have a card just for fun!  They are always for birthdays, thank yous, etc.  This one is just a simple card to give someone with a great picture of our day spent together!  Seventh,  I discovered a new challenge blog called The Crafting Cafe, and this week is the Anything Goes Challenge - check it out!  Why is it a good day for you?  Let me know!!!

Get Well Soon & Speedy Recovery- August 18, 2013

It has been a long time since I made a card!  Life has just been in the way lately to even craft.  My mother just had surgery this past week, so I had to make her a card for a quick recovery (prescription bottle card).  My husband's aunt was accidentally attacked by her dog, and is also recovering (get well tablet card).  Hopefully, they will enjoy their cards and it will bring some sunshine.  Tuesday Morning Sketches #211 was a perfect sketch for both of my cards.  I really enjoyed using the pop of red, and polka dots.  The spin over at Tuesday Morning Sketches was to use buttons, so I embellished both cards with some cute buttons!  Thanks for stopping by!!!!
